Westchester farms prepare for apple picking season

Apple picking season is beginning in the Westchester area, offering various family-friendly farm experiences. Notable locations for the activity include Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard, Stuart’s Fruit Farm, Wilkens Fruit and Fir Farm, Lawrence Farms Orchards, and Hurd’s Family Farm.

Many of these orchards provide seasonal amenities such as hayrides, corn mazes, farm animals, and fresh treats like apple cider donuts and pies. Harvest Moon Farm & Orchard, for instance, offers pick-your-own apples from mid-September through late October or early November, alongside live music and local produce.
