Western Australia gold exploration yields new high‑grade finds at Gorilla Gold and Gateway Mining
Gorilla Gold announced a new shallow gold discovery at its Lady Margaret prospect, located 1 km west of the Sovereign deposit within the Comet Vale project in Western Australia. Initial scout drilling intersected 2 m grading 5.9 g/t Au, adding a potential new growth front to a resource that already hosts 410,000 ounces at 4.3 g/t Au.
Gateway Mining reported its first drilling confirmation that the Great Western prospect at the Yandal gold project hosts a large gold‑silver hydrothermal system. Maiden air‑core results defined a four‑kilometre gold‑mineralised structure with a bottom‑of‑hole intercept of 1 m grading 2.5 g/t Au and multiple high‑grade silver hits (up to 89 g/t Ag), suggesting a deeper primary mineralisation zone yet to be tested.
Both companies are expanding drilling programs in the North Kalgoorlie hub, with Gorilla operating four rigs and Gateway preparing deeper reverse‑circulation drilling to target the core gold zones.
