Western-themed baby names rise due to 'Yellowstone' popularity
The popularity of Western dramas, such as Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘Landman’, is influencing baby name trends. Experts note a growing fascination with cowboy culture and ranch life, which is reflected in an increase in Western-themed names.
For boys, popular names include Colton, Walker, Wyatt, and Maverick. For girls, trending names include Sadie, Oakley, Cheyenne, and River. The trend is also being fueled by country music, with names like Cash, Conway, Winona, and Houston seeing increased usage. While some names have biblical roots, many are chosen for their association with Western aesthetics.
