Western District farming aggregation offered for over $50m
The Mondilibi and Manooka agricultural aggregation, located near Mortlake in the Western District, is back on the market with offers sought above $50 million. Owned by the Down Ampney Corporation—a consortium of UK and Australian investors—the 3,230-hectare (7,982-acre) portfolio can be purchased as a single entity or as two separate holdings: the 1,805-hectare Mondilibi and the 1,426-hectare Manooka.
Approximately 90 per cent of the combined land is highly productive arable grazing country. The properties support a mixed farming enterprise specializing in beef cattle, prime lamb, wool, and opportunity cropping. JLL Agribusiness, the new marketing agents, noted that the land has benefited from significant capital works over the last several years, including pasture renovations, soil amelioration, and infrastructure upgrades.
