The Directorate of Rural Economy for the Western Greece Region has announced the results of the administrative review for the first call of the P3-75.1 ‘Establishment of Young Farmers’ intervention. This initiative is part of the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
A total of 981 beneficiaries have been approved, with total public expenditure amounting to €35,712,500. Additionally, 12 candidates have been listed as potential beneficiaries for a total of €385,000, provided they submit the required supplementary documentation within one month.
Andreas Filias, Vice Regional Governor for Rural Development, stated that the high participation rate confirms the primary sector remains a dynamic professional path for the new generation. He noted that establishing nearly one thousand new farmers in Western Greece aims to renew rural human resources and enhance the competitiveness of agricultural holdings.
