Western Kentucky University defeats Indiana State 1-0 in soccer

Western Kentucky University soccer secured its first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Indiana State at Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute, Indiana.

After a weather delay and a scoreless first half, Makenna Egan scored the decisive goal in the 54th minute, assisted by Maggie Bellair. The win marks Western Kentucky's second consecutive shutout to start the season. Indiana State goalkeeper Sofie Hansen recorded key saves to keep the match competitive, but the Sycamores were unable to equalize despite late pressure.

Western Kentucky moves forward with a 1-0-1 record, while Indiana State falls to 1-1-0.
