Western Macedonia launches €12.1M heat pump program
The Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia, in collaboration with the Technical Chamber of Greece – Western Macedonia Branch, is launching a series of information sessions regarding the “Installation of Heat Pumps for Heating / Cooling in Western Macedonia” program.
With a total budget of €12,135,000, the initiative is funded by the European Union through the Just Transition Fund and national resources under the “Just Developmental Transition” Operational Program. The program aims to support the installation of residential heat pumps for heating and cooling. Beneficiaries may also optionally pursue home insulation improvements or solar photovoltaic systems for self-generation and energy storage.
The information tour begins in Ptolemaida on September 15, 2026, and will continue through the region with scheduled events in Grevena (September 18), Kozani (September 22), Kastoria (September 28), and Florina (September 30).
