Police in Greece, North Macedonia, and Serbia conduct major crime crackdowns
Police across Greece, North Macedonia, and Serbia have conducted a series of coordinated operations targeting drug trafficking, illegal migration, and traffic offenses.
In Greece, significant arrests were made in Trikala, where a 21-year-old was caught with large quantities of cannabis and cocaine. In Peristeri, a cafe owner was arrested for operating a drug hub, leading to the seizure of crack cocaine and weapons. Authorities also intercepted several groups of undocumented migrants being transported toward Athens and Western Europe.
In North Macedonia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported multiple arrests involving drug possession and dangerous driving. Eleven drivers were detained for various traffic violations, including driving without a license and driving under the influence of alcohol.
In Serbia, a 20-year-old man in Grocka faces charges for the illegal sale of nearly 30 kilograms of cannabis following a police pursuit.
