Western Macedonia traffic police launch school road safety campaign

To mark the start of the new school year, the Hellenic Police are launching a road safety awareness initiative across Western Macedonia. On Friday, September 11, 2026, traffic police personnel will distribute informative leaflets to primary schools in the region.

The campaign aims to educate both students and parents on road safety and traffic rules, specifically focusing on safe travel to and from school premises. The distribution will take place in several regional units, including Kastoria, Kozani, and Grevena.

In Kastoria, activities will include visits to various primary schools, with the Commander of the Kastoria Traffic Department scheduled to make statements at the 10th Experimental Primary School. In the Kozani region, commanders from the Kozani and Eordaia traffic departments will attend events at the 19th Primary School of Kozani and the 1st Primary School of Ptolemaida, respectively.
