Western Slovak Museum to host Japanese cultural evening

The Western Slovak Museum in Trnava will host a ‘Japanese Evening’ on August 14 as part of the exhibition ‘Delicate as Chrysanthemums... Art that United Two Worlds’. The event aims to showcase Japanese history, culture, fashion, and cuisine.

Activities include katana combat training with wooden replicas led by instructors, a fashion show featuring clothing from various social classes—ranging from artisans to the samurai class—and demonstrations of traditional Japanese crafts. The exhibition itself features East Asian artifacts from the Zičio family collection, including porcelain, textiles, weapons, and samurai armor.
