Western Sydney Wanderers coach Ufuk Talay prepares for Sydney Derby

Western Sydney Wanderers head coach Ufuk Talay has addressed the club's leadership changes and the upcoming season-opening Sydney Derby at Allianz Stadium. Talay confirmed that Brandon Borrello has been appointed as the team captain following a collective decision involving the coaching staff and players. This move involves transitioning the captaincy from goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas to the Socceroos striker.

Ahead of the derby, Talay appeared in a new commercial for sponsor Starr Partners, which humorously references his move from arch-rivals Sydney FC to the Wanderers. The upcoming match is expected to draw a significant crowd of over 35,000 spectators.
