Westfield house cleaner accused of stealing $100K in valuables
Beata B. Kucharczyk, a 50-year-old house cleaner from Linden, has been arrested and charged with second-degree theft following a series of burglaries in Westfield, New Jersey.
According to the Westfield Police Department, Kucharczyk is accused of stealing more than $100,000 in valuables, including cash, jewelry, and personal documents, from multiple clients. Investigators identified Kucharczyk as the common link because she had been granted repeat, unrestricted access to the targeted homes while working as a cleaner.
Police reported that thefts were identified between August 29 and September 11, though some items may have been taken months prior to discovery. Detectives stated they obtained photographic proof and transactional records showing Kucharczyk selling stolen jewelry at a store in Linden.
