WestJet and Qatar Airways launch reciprocal codeshare partnership

WestJet and Qatar Airways have entered into a reciprocal codeshare agreement designed to enhance connectivity between Canada and the Middle East. Under the initial phase of the partnership, WestJet will place its code on non-stop Qatar Airways flights between Toronto (YYZ) and Doha (DOH), as well as between Montreal (YUL) and Doha (DOH).

In return, Qatar Airways will add its code to select WestJet flights operated from Toronto and Montreal to various Canadian cities, including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Ottawa, Regina, Saskatoon, St. John's, and Winnipeg. This arrangement allows passengers to book travel through a single reservation and check-in process.

Future phases of the agreement intend to expand WestJet's access to Qatar Airways' global network of over 170 destinations, including cities such as New Delhi, Nairobi, Singapore, and Jeddah. The partnership also coincides with Qatar Airways increasing its flight frequencies from Toronto and Montreal to daily service starting October 25, 2026.
