Westlake Chemical Partners Posts Q2 2026 Earnings, Announces 48th Consecutive Distribution
Westlake Chemical Partners LP reported second‑quarter 2026 net income of $14.2 million, or $0.40 per limited‑partner unit, slightly below the $14.6 million earned a year earlier. Revenue was $297.1 million, essentially unchanged from the prior year. Cash flow from operating activities rose sharply to $129.8 million from $9.1 million a year earlier, driven by higher production and sales volumes and lower maintenance capital expenditures after the Petro 1 turnaround. The partnership’s MLP distributable cash flow increased to $17.6 million from $15.0 million, giving a trailing‑twelve‑month coverage ratio of 1.04×.
The board approved a quarterly distribution of $0.4714 per unit, the 48th consecutive payout, payable on August 28, 2026. On July 8, 2026, Westlake Chemical Partners and its OpCo amended their senior unsecured revolving credit agreements with Westlake Corporation, extending maturities to July 2031. An ethylene sales agreement with Westlake, covering 95% of ethylene production at a $0.10‑per‑pound cash margin, is intended to provide stable cash flows. CEO Jean‑Marc Gilson said the partnership benefited from higher third‑party ethylene prices and the stability of its cash‑flow arrangement.
