Westmeister Farm introduces exotic wildlife to Shelby

Westmeister Farm in Shelby has transitioned from a private residence into a public attraction featuring 24 unique animal species. Owned by Lynn and Shawn Westmeister, the farm hosts a variety of animals ranging from traditional livestock like pigs and chickens to exotic species including zebras, sloths, kangaroos, and capybaras.

The farm offers immersive tours where visitors can interact with various animals. Notable residents include a two-legged rabbit named Lieutenant Dan, an armadillo, a lavender skunk, prairie dogs, Eurasian eagle owls, and a zebra named Lincoln. The experience also includes encounters with otters, an ostrich, and a family of Scottish Highlander cows.
