Westminster Cathedral Mass disrupted by protesters

Members of the Feminist Strike Coalition disrupted a Catholic Mass at Westminster Cathedral in London on Saturday. The disruption occurred during a service held ahead of the March for Life.

Protesters reportedly entered the cathedral and stood between the congregation and the altar, displaying signs critical of the pro-life movement. During the incident, agitators called for prayers for individuals incarcerated for protecting bodily autonomy and those they claimed were intimidated by the church. Cathedral security escorted the protesters from the building before the scheduled march began.

Jeremiah Igunnubole, legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom, stated the incident was a “troubling illustration of a church in which both the sanctity of life and the rule of law are too often disregarded.” Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, co-director of the March for Life, described the disturbance as “ironic,” noting that the Mass was attended by thousands and included 15 bishops.
