Westmont College launches new STUNT team and rises in national rankings

Westmont College has announced the launch of its first STUNT team, with the inaugural competition season scheduled to begin in February 2027. The sport features head-to-head competition using athletic elements such as partner stunts, pyramids, tosses, jumps, and tumbling. Head coach Ariana Johnson noted that the program aims to provide collegiate opportunities for athletes with backgrounds in cheer, dance, and tumbling.

Separately, Westmont College has risen to No. 109 (tied) among National Liberal Arts Colleges in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. The institution saw significant improvements in social mobility metrics, climbing 35 spots to No. 151 (tied) in Top Performers on Social Mobility. The college also reported advancements in Pell Grant graduation performance and rates.
