Westside Cowboy releases debut album ‘It Goes On’

Manchester-based quartet Westside Cowboy has released their debut full-length album, ‘It Goes On’. The group, which includes singer/guitarist Jimmy Bradbury and drummer Paddy Murphy, has developed a self-described genre called ‘Britainicana’, blending indie rock and folk with American musical aesthetics.

The album was produced in collaboration with Loren Humphrey. The band aims for a straightforward, energetic sound that departs from the more progressive or theatrical styles of contemporary English indie acts. The opening track, ‘Kick Stones (The Boys)’, was modeled after the raucous live energy of the Velvet Underground, intended to capture a raw rock and roll feeling.
