Wetteren seeks alternative venues for local associations

The local government of Wetteren is searching for alternative venues for associations currently using the municipal banquet hall and the Ten Ede community center. Renovations on the municipal banquet hall are scheduled to begin in September 2027 and are expected to last approximately eighteen months, during which time the facility will be unavailable.

Authorities are exploring options including municipal buildings, partnerships with private owners, and potential collaborations with schools. Officials noted that specific locations will depend on the capacity and infrastructure requirements of the various organizations. Local council member Ira Lina Piscador has called for clarity to ensure associations can plan their upcoming operational year effectively.
