WeWork India Q1 FY27 results show strong revenue growth but report a small net loss
WeWork India Management Limited announced that its first‑quarter FY27 revenue rose 28.5% year‑on‑year to about ₹698 crore, with EBITDA up 69.3% to ₹138.3 crore and profit after tax jumping 533% to ₹53.2 crore. The flexible‑workspace provider expanded its footprint by 18.5%, operating 79 centres across eight cities and adding roughly 7,000 desks, while overall occupancy reached 84.9%.
In a concurrent regulatory filing, the company reported a consolidated net loss of ₹4.3 crore for the same quarter, attributing the loss to higher operating expenses. Total income in the period increased to ₹700.74 crore from ₹545.71 crore a year earlier, but expenses rose to ₹704.77 crore. CEO Karan Virwani said the firm entered FY27 “from a position of strength” and is launching new services and capacity investments to meet long‑term demand.
Both releases highlight the mixed financial picture: impressive top‑line growth and profitability metrics alongside a modest net loss caused by rising costs.
