WeWork Japan opens new large-scale flexible office in Fukuoka

WeWork Japan has expanded its presence in Fukuoka with the opening of ‘WeWork Hakata’ on the 9th and 10th floors of the Nishi-Nippon City Building. Located in the Hakata Connected redevelopment area, the facility is one of Fukuoka’s largest flexible offices, featuring approximately 980 desks and a semi-outdoor space called ‘THE LOGGIA’ designed to enhance worker well-being.

The expansion aims to connect the Tenjin Big Bang and Hakata Connected areas, supporting businesses from Fukuoka, Kyushu, and beyond. An opening ceremony was held on September 11, involving representatives from Fukuoka City, Nishi-Nippon City Bank, and Fukuoka Fudosan to discuss regional innovation and startup support.

In a related event held at WeWork Kamiyacho Trust Tower, executives from various companies, including Uhuru Inc., discussed the importance of physical communities in the AI era. Speakers emphasized that face-to-face interactions and spontaneous encounters within shared workspaces drive business growth, regional revitalization, and the creation of new value through human connection.
