Weymouth defeats Larkhall Athletic 3-2 in league opener

Weymouth secured a 3-2 victory against Larkhall Athletic in their Southern League Division One South season opener at Camella Stadium. Despite a late surge from the hosts, Weymouth managed to hold onto the lead to start their campaign.

Weymouth dominated the first half, with Lewis Brown scoring in injury time to break the deadlock. Brooklyn Genesini extended the lead in the 57th minute and added a second goal via a header shortly after Ryan Beckinsale had pulled one back for Larkhall with a free-kick in the 72nd minute.

Beckinsale scored again in injury time to create a tense finish, but Weymouth ultimately secured the win. The Weymouth squad featured several experienced players, including former professional Wes Fogden and Brooklyn Genesini.
