Whalefall survival thriller arrives in Portuguese cinemas

The survival thriller “Whalefall” (also known as “A Queda da Baleia”) has arrived in Portuguese cinemas. Starring Austin Abrams and Josh Brolin, the film follows Jay Gardiner, a young diver searching for his father's remains off the central coast of California.

The mission turns into a fight for survival when Jay is swallowed by a massive sperm whale. Trapped inside the creature with only one hour of oxygen remaining, he must find a way to escape while grappling with emotional memories of his father, Mitt Gardiner, played by Brolin.

Directed by Brian Duffield, the film features an ensemble cast including Elisabeth Shue, John Ortiz, Jane Levy, and Emily Rudd.
