Whalefall trailer depicts diver trapped inside an orca

A new trailer for the upcoming thriller ‘Whalefall’ has been released, depicting a high-tension survival story. The film follows a character named Jay, played by Austin Abrams, who is swallowed by an orca while searching for his father's remains off the coast of California. Trapped inside the whale with limited oxygen, Jay must rely on lessons taught by his father, played by Josh Brolin, to attempt an escape.

The film also explores the complex relationship between Jay and his emotionally distant, disciplined father. The production is directed by Brian Duffield, with a screenplay by Daniel Kraus, based on the author's original book. The film is scheduled for release in the Czech Republic on October 15, 2026.
