Whataburger names restaurant finance veteran Ryan Moore as chief financial officer
Whataburger announced that Ryan Moore will become its chief financial officer on July 31. Moore brings 16 years of restaurant finance experience, including six years as CFO of Torchy’s Tacos and a decade as Vice‑President of Finance at Taco Bell. He succeeds Janelle Sykes, who will retire in September after more than six years in the role.
CEO Debbie Stroud said the appointment positions the chain for continued growth, noting that the company has expanded from 860 restaurants in 11 states to nearly 1,200 locations across 17 states during Sykes’s tenure.
