Whataburger National Day Set for August 8

National Whataburger Day is observed on August 8 each year. The date commemorates the opening of the first Whataburger restaurant on August 8, 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The celebration was added to the National Day Calendar in 2023.

Whataburger now operates more than 1,200 locations across the United States, with roughly 780 of those in Texas. Fans are encouraged to mark the occasion by visiting a restaurant, sharing photos, and using the hashtag #NationalWhataburgerDay.
