Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, confirmed that the bans are part of its security measures to prevent misuse of the platform, but acknowledged that errors can occur. Affected users can request a review through the “Request analysis” button in the app; if the button is absent, the ban is considered final and cannot be appealed. Meta advises that contacting support through other channels will not speed up the process.
