WhatsApp Introduces iOS Noise‑Cancellation Controls and Android Voice‑Message Widget

WhatsApp is adding two major usability features across its mobile platforms. On iOS, the app now integrates Apple’s built‑in microphone modes—Noise Isolation, Wide Spectrum, Standard, and Automatic—directly into the call screen, letting users adjust background‑noise filtering without leaving the app. The update began rolling out with version 26‑27‑74 on the App Store and will reach all iOS users in the coming weeks.

On Android, a beta widget visible on the home screen allows users to start a voice recording instantly and send the note to multiple contacts at once, eliminating the need to first save the message in a chat. The widget is being tested in the 2.26.2 beta and will be released to all Android users after testing concludes.
