WhatsApp introduces scheduled messages and dual‑account support for iPhone
WhatsApp is testing a scheduled‑message feature that lets users compose a text, set a specific date and time, and have it sent automatically. The function, revealed by WABetaInfo, will include a dedicated tray where pending messages can be edited or deleted before delivery, and it works in both individual and group chats – though only group members present at the time of scheduling will receive the message. The feature is still in beta for iPhone and has not been rolled out to the general public.
In a separate update, WhatsApp now allows iPhone users to add a second phone number and run up to two accounts within the same app. Available from version 26.22.76, the dual‑account option lets users switch between personal and work numbers without logging out, preserving separate chat histories, settings, and notifications. The rollout began with beta testers and is being expanded through the App Store.
