Meta launches WhatsApp Plus subscription in Turkey for 41.99 TL per month

Meta has officially introduced a paid "WhatsApp Plus" subscription for users in Turkey. The service costs 41.99 Turkish Lira per month, while the global price is about $2.99. It offers visual customisations such as 18 themes and 14 alternate app icons, raises the chat‑pin limit from three to twenty, and adds premium media options including ten custom ringtones and animated sticker packs.

A one‑month free trial is available, after which users can continue or cancel the subscription at any time with no penalty. The core WhatsApp app—messaging, voice and video calls, and end‑to‑end encryption—remains free and unchanged. The launch replaces unofficial third‑party APKs that previously provided similar features but carried security risks.
