WhatsApp developing three-account support for iPhone

WhatsApp is developing a feature that would allow iPhone users to manage three distinct accounts within a single application. This update was identified in internal beta versions of the app via TestFlight.

Currently, iPhone users can manage up to two accounts, a feature that arrived on iOS in June 2026. The proposed expansion aims to provide greater flexibility for individuals managing multiple lines, such as personal, professional, and community-related numbers, without needing a second device or the WhatsApp Business app.

Each account will maintain complete data segregation, including independent chat histories, notification settings, privacy configurations, cloud backups, and media files. The interface for switching between accounts is expected to remain consistent with the current design, featuring profile names, photos, and phone numbers.
