WhatsApp tests new interface and communication features

WhatsApp is testing several significant updates to its interface and functionality. In Android beta versions, a new Contacts tab is being developed to consolidate information such as online status, recent activity, and birthdays. This reorganization may involve moving Channels to the Chats tab and potentially replacing the Updates tab with the new Contacts section.

Additional features currently in development include the ability to host voice and video calls with individuals who do not have a WhatsApp account via browser-based invitation links. The app is also working on a voice-to-text dictation tool that processes language locally on the device to allow for offline use. Furthermore, WhatsApp may soon allow users to manage up to three separate accounts on a single device to distinguish between personal, professional, and business communications.
