WhatsApp tests triple-account support as Snapchat considers teen usage limits
WhatsApp is reportedly developing a feature for iPhone users to manage up to three separate accounts within a single application. This expansion follows the June 2026 release of dual-account support. The new functionality would allow users to switch between accounts without logging out, maintaining individual settings, chat histories, and privacy configurations for each profile.
Separately, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel confirmed that the company is internally discussing potential time limits for teenage users. This consideration follows industry trends toward increased youth protection, such as Meta’s recent agreement to implement default two-hour daily usage limits and nighttime restrictions for minors on Facebook and Instagram.
