Wheat prices drop sharply on global exchanges

Global wheat prices dropped sharply this week, falling to $267 per ton on the Chicago exchange and $278 per ton on Euronext. According to analysis from the Sofia Stock Exchange, this decline is attributed to reduced concerns regarding potential supply disruptions in the Black Sea, which has lowered the military risk premium in the market.

Corn prices remained stable, with next-month delivery futures trading between $208–$209 per ton in Chicago and $301–$303 per ton on Euronext. Sugar prices also saw a downward trend toward the end of the week; white sugar in London fell from $524 to $508 per ton, while raw sugar in New York decreased from $395 to $384 per ton.

On the Sofia Stock Exchange, feed wheat demand offers stood at €192 per ton, while bread wheat selling offers were at €230 per ton. Industrial commodity trades included scrap metal, diesel, gasoline, and propane-butane gas.
