Wheatland, Wyoming initiative seeks to establish new DAV chapter

An initiative is underway to establish a new Disabled American Veterans (DAV) chapter in Wheatland, Wyoming. The goal of the project is to provide local veterans with assistance in filing claims, eliminating the need for them to travel to Cheyenne for support.

To secure official training for claim assistance and obtain a dedicated office in Wheatland, organizers are seeking to recruit at least 25 members. The proposed chapter aims to serve Platte County, Torrington, Douglas, and northern Laramie County. Currently, veterans in these rural areas must rely on regional programs or chapters located in Cheyenne and Casper.
