Where Winds Meet announces Qingzhou region launch

The open-world Wuxia action RPG Where Winds Meet has announced the launch of its first themed region, Qingzhou, beginning October 15. The expansion introduces a landscape that blends rugged mountain peaks with expansive coastal areas inspired by Confucian philosophy.

Players can access the Eastern Peak on October 15, followed by the opening of the mist-shrouded island of Penglai on October 29. The update includes the Inkbound Order, a new sect focused on resolving conflicts through art, music, and debate rather than traditional combat. This introduces ‘A Duel of Wits,’ a card-based PvP mode centered on strategic mental engagement.

New gameplay elements include the Ribbon Drum, a weapon that combines martial arts with rhythmic drumming to bind enemies and provide teammate buffs. The region will also feature three new world bosses—Tidewatcher, Old Raftsman, and Zhu Yinghan—alongside various academy activities and regional events.
