Where Winds Meet surpasses 100 million players worldwide

NetEase Games and Everstone Studio have announced that their open-world Wuxia action RPG, Where Winds Meet, has surpassed 100 million players worldwide. This milestone follows a rapid growth trajectory; the game reached 80 million cumulative players by June 2025 and has since added another 20 million.

To celebrate the achievement, developers announced the release of Hidden Mountain Chapter 3, the final installment of the Hidden Mountain storyline, scheduled for September 16. The update will feature a confrontation between the protagonist and the antagonist Qianye, alongside new special bosses, open-world field bosses, and additional gameplay activities.

The studio is also emphasizing cinematic combat, having recruited legendary martial arts choreographer Yuen Woo-ping as an action consultant. New martial arts styles, such as the “Bamboo Leaf Drunk” style inspired by classic cinema, are expected to be integrated into the experience as the game enters its Version 2.0 stage.
