Whiplash 4K restored version returns to theaters

The 2014 Academy Award-winning film ‘Whiplash’, directed by Damien Chazelle, is returning to theaters in a 4K restored version featuring Dolby Atmos sound. The re-release is scheduled to begin in Taiwan on October 16.

The film, which stars Miles Teller as an ambitious jazz drummer and J. K. Simmons as his intense instructor, explores the psychological toll of pursuing musical perfection. ‘Whiplash’ earned three Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actor for Simmons, and maintains a 94% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

This restored edition aims to provide audiences with an enhanced sensory experience, emphasizing the film's high-tension rhythmic elements and intense character dynamics through improved visual and auditory clarity.
