Whisky Culture Institute announces 2027 festivals in Matsumoto and Yokohama

The Whisky Culture Institute has announced two major distilled spirits events scheduled for 2027 in Japan.

The first event, Whisky Festival 2027 in Matsumoto, will take place on January 11 at Hotel Buena Vista in Nagano Prefecture. This inaugural event in Matsumoto is limited to 1,200 attendees and will feature tastings of whisky and gin, merchandise sales, and opportunities to interact with producers. The program includes talk shows with special guests and tasting seminars.

The fourth Whisky & Spirits Festival will be held on April 10 and 11 at Pacifico Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture. This larger event expects up to 8,000 total attendees across four sessions. It will feature approximately 99 exhibitors offering a wide range of spirits, including whisky, gin, shochu, and awamori. The Yokohama festival will also include eight tasting seminars and food trucks serving dishes paired with distilled spirits.
