White falcon sells for 1.5 million UAE Dirhams at Abu Dhabi auction
At the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), a rare white falcon named ‘Kharmousha Pure Ultra White’ was sold at auction for 1.5 million UAE Dirhams, approximately 3.85 crore Indian Rupees.
The bird, which was bred at the Mark Moglich Falcon Farm in the United States, features entirely white feathers and is noted for its exceptional physical structure and hunting capabilities. It weighed approximately 1,000 grams and measured 16.5 inches in both length and width.
The auction, part of the fifth round of the exhibition, saw a 20 percent increase in participation compared to the previous year, with 55 local and international falcon breeding centers involved. In Arab culture, falconry remains a significant symbol of tradition and prestige.
