White House assures anti‑drone security for all U.S. 2026 World Cup matches

The White House task force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, led by Andrew Guilani, announced that every one of the 78 matches scheduled to be held in the United States will be protected against drone threats. Guilani said the U.S. government has ensured “mitigation and counter‑UAS measures” for all stadiums.

In addition, each of the eleven fan‑festival sites in the host cities will receive full anti‑drone coverage throughout the tournament. The 2026 World Cup will be the largest in history, co‑hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico with 48 national teams competing in 104 games.
