During a recent trip to Tennessee, CNN was excluded from Air Force One despite it being their scheduled turn to provide pool coverage. In a show of solidarity, the other major networks in the pool—ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox News—declined to provide a replacement. Attorney General Todd Blanche defended the administration's actions, asserting that the president has the authority to decide who flies on Air Force One and characterizing certain media coverage as a national security issue caused by misinformation.

Despite the court order facilitating the return of pool coverage for high-profile events, such as the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the underlying legal dispute regarding press access and the application of the First Amendment remains unresolved.
