White House TikTok video using Kacey Musgraves song goes silent

The audio for a White House TikTok video featuring U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation footage has been muted. The video, which used Kacey Musgraves’ 2026 song ‘Mexico Honey’ and included the caption ‘Going back smooth,’ now displays a message stating the sound is unavailable.

It remains unclear whether the audio was removed by Musgraves, her label, or the platform. This incident follows similar clashes between the administration and musical artists, such as Ariana Grande, who previously demanded the removal of her music from government posts related to immigration enforcement.

The video in question depicts footage of individuals being handcuffed and detained for deportation, accompanied by on-screen text stating, ‘Criminal illegals are going back home.’
