White Rock Concerts begins 70th season with Quartetto Gelato

White Rock Concerts is launching its 70th annual season, featuring the Canadian-based ensemble Quartetto Gelato. The group, consisting of Colin Maier, Dobrochna Zubek, Konstantin Popovic, and Matti Pulkki, is scheduled to perform on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the White Rock Baptist Church.

Quartetto Gelato is noted for blending classical masterworks with diverse styles such as tango, klezmer, and Roma dances. The concert series continues a tradition established in 1990 by founder Peter de Sotto and was significantly shaped by the late George Zukerman. The current season is being planned by artistic directors Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann.
