White Rock Players Club unveils 2026‑27 season lineup and auditions
The White Rock Players Club (WRPC) announced its 2026‑27 theatre season. The opening production is Ernest Thompson’s On Golden Pond, presented from Oct 1 to Oct 18, 2026, produced by Rebekah MacEwan and directed by Lance Peverley. The play replaces the originally advertised adaptation of The Girl on the Train, which will now run May 27‑June 13, 2026.
Auditions for On Golden Pond are scheduled for Aug 1 (10 a.m.–1 p.m.), Aug 2 (3 p.m.–6 p.m.) and callbacks on Aug 3 (6 p.m.–8 p.m.) at the Oceana PARC Playhouse, 1532 Johnston Rd. Participants are asked to submit a headshot and résumé.
Artistic director Fred Partridge said the season’s theme is “Scripts We Can’t Put Down.” In addition to On Golden Pond, the schedule includes The Little Mermaid (Dec 2‑27, 2026), Arthur Miller’s All My Sons (Feb 11‑28, 2027) and Jack Neary’s Kong’s Night Out (Apr 8‑25, 2027). The Little Mermaid was written by club president Rebekah MacEwan, drawing on Hans Christian Andersen’s tale.
