Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” returns to UK charts after Dolly Parton’s death

Following the death of country music legend Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston’s cover of “I Will Always Love You” has seen a resurgence on the music charts. In the United Kingdom, the track has re-entered the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales charts, reaching positions of No. 56 and No. 61, respectively.

Notably, the song has reached a new peak on the Official Singles Sales chart, marking only the second time it has appeared on this specific ranking since its introduction.

Bobby Brown has also reflected on the connection between the two artists, stating that Houston “loved performing that song” and found great joy in singing Parton’s composition. Brown praised Parton as one of the “great ones” and noted the enduring musical legacies left by both women.
