Whitney Peak joins Michael B. Jordan in ‘Miami Vice ’85’

Whitney Peak has joined the cast of Universal Pictures’ upcoming feature film, ‘Miami Vice ’85’, directed by Joseph Kosinski. Peak is expected to play the love interest of Michael B. Jordan’s character, Ricardo Tubbs.

The film is a modern reboot of the iconic 1980s crime drama. Michael B. Jordan will portray Tubbs, while Austin Butler will take on the role of James Crockett, originally played by Don Johnson. Alden Ehrenreich has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role.

Set to explore the glamour and corruption of mid-1980s Miami, the production is scheduled to begin in November and will be filmed in New York and Miami. The movie will be shot for IMAX and is slated for release by Universal Pictures on May 19, 2028. The screenplay is written by Dan Gilroy.
