Whittier Trader Joe’s parking lot confrontation turns physical

A physical altercation between two women occurred in the parking lot of a Trader Joe’s in Whittier, California, after a shopper confronted a mother regarding children allegedly left unattended in a vehicle.

The confrontation reportedly began when Ani Sanati, a Whittier resident, noticed three children inside an unattended car. According to social media reports from a friend of Sanati, she contacted both the store manager and the police before intervening. It was further alleged that police instructed her to open the vehicle if it was unlocked.

Video footage of the incident shows the dispute escalating into a brawl, with bystanders and Trader Joe’s employees attempting to intervene. During the fight, the mother accused Sanati of opening the car door and threatening her in front of the children.
