Radom police detain two for 680 counts of vehicle inspection fraud

Two employees of a vehicle inspection station in Przysuski County have been detained following a corruption investigation. The 36-year-old and 67-year-old suspects face a total of 680 charges for falsifying documents.

According to the Radom Provincial Police and the District Prosecutor's Office in Radom, the individuals entered positive technical inspection results into the computer system in December 2024 without actually performing the required procedures. The motive for the deception was to obtain financial benefits.

Both suspects are currently subject to bail, a ban on leaving the country, and a ban on practicing their profession as diagnosticians. They face up to eight years in prison. Authorities have also secured their assets to cover potential future penalties. The investigation is ongoing, and police have not ruled out further arrests.
