Whole Foods and Mon Sire Brie issue cheese recalls

Whole Foods Market has issued a recall for two types of Fromagerie Coop de Mean Cabricharme cheese due to undeclared egg protein, which poses a risk of life-threatening allergic reactions for sensitive individuals. The affected products include Raw Milk–Aged 60 Days (PLU57953) and Belgian Cabricharme (PLU54670). The recall impacts consumers in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. No illnesses have been reported.

Separately, Optimus Inc. (operating as Markys Caviar) has recalled Mon Sire Brie in Florida due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recall involves two 1-kilogram lots with expiration dates in August 2026. This action follows similar recalls of the same brand in Australia and New Zealand earlier this month. While the expiration dates have passed, officials warn that contaminated products may still be in home refrigerators. No illnesses have been linked to the Florida distribution.
